Ashleigh and Brian have a typical boy meets girl story but throw in a kilt, a mom, the drums, and Fire Chief Ale and the story becomes something magical. As Ashleigh was working at Rock Bottom Brewery, on her usual Thursday tapping of the Fire Chief Ale, her family came in and Ashleigh’s mom commented on the boy who walked in and how cute he was. Ashleigh, on the other hand, commented on the kilt that he was wearing and how tall he was. As fate would have it, Ashleigh served Brian’s table and they started up a casual conversation, after Brian was done playing the drums, where Ashleigh thought Brian was a fireman but he turned out to be a cop. By the end of the night Brian asked Ashleigh for her number and she couldn’t resist giving it to him.
Over the next few years, Ashleigh and Brian would spend time getting to know one another and growing together in their relationship. On a chilly Valentine’s night, Ashleigh and Brian were at The Keg Steakhouse when Brian had a BIG surprise for Ashleigh. A Valentine’s celebration quickly became an engagement celebration as Brian asked Ashleigh to marry him…and she said yes!
The happy couple had planned on getting married at the Castle Cliff Estates but a turn of events left them with no venue when it unexpectedly closed four months before Ashleigh and Brian’s big day. Cue wedding coordinator who jumped in to find them Highlands Ranch Mansion. A crisis became a blessing in disguise as it provided the perfect backdrop for Ashleigh and Brian’s wedding. The vintage feel and large scale was just what was needed to accommodate their guests and the outdoor wedding that they wanted.
Guests could find details of Ashleigh and Brian in everything — from the rustic, outdoor setting with glamorous, vintage details. Ashleigh and Brian wanted their wedding to feel like a fancy family BBQ with great food and a great party…and that’s exactly what they got. But the moment that stood out to Ashleigh and Brian more than any other moment during the celebration was when they were able to see each other for the first time. As Ashleigh walked down the aisle and saw Brian and he saw her, they knew that the moment could not be any more perfect.
Brian and Ashleigh took their first trip as husband and wife to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. They stayed at a Sandals Resort, which Ashleigh recommends is the way to go. Their all inclusive resort included a butler, nightly dinner reservations, pools and the beach.
As they start this new life together, Ashleigh and Brian look forward to starting a family together and continuing on the beautiful journey that they are on.
Shannyn: How was working with Adam?
Ashleigh: I met Adam working at Shannon and Mike Selbo’s wedding. When I saw him I knew I had to have him at my wedding! Trying to budget for a wedding my mom and I really went back and forth if we needed a videographer — it was the best decision that we made. Adam was absolutely great to work with. He was professional, but a lot of fun as well! Brian and I are so excited to see the video, and plan on watching it on every anniversary to remember our special day. If I could tell brides one thing, I would tell them to absolutely get a videographer and to make sure it was Adam!
