In a season of uncertainty for most people, nothing could be more certain to Lauryn and Travis than their love for each other. And we had the honor of celebrating with them in their intimate Loveland wedding and creating their wedding film. And, since Adam had filmed Lauryn’s sister McKenna’s wedding back in 2018 at the same venue, it was a special reunion for all!
Eyes for Only Lauryn
The story of Lauryn and Travis’s meeting goes back to McKenna and Spencer’s wedding. Lauryn and McKenna (sisters) and Travis and Spencer (great friends) all lived in Texas, but the girls’ dad owns a lakehouse in Loveland, Colorado, which served as the wedding venue for both weddings. During McKenna + Spencer’s wedding weekend, the crew went to a brewery in Fort Collins, CO.
At the brewery, Lauryn and Travis met and spoke briefly. Travis thought Lauryn was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen, but he tried to play it cool the rest of the weekend (Lauryn’s mom Trish disagreed, saying it was pretty obvious Travis has eyes for only Lauryn!)
When Spencer and McKenna got back from their honeymoon, Travis eagerly took Spencer to lunch and, after catching up, told him that he just had to get to know Lauryn.
So, Lauryn and Travis got set up by the newlyweds, and the rest is history!
When it came to the proposal, Travis set up an elaborate weekend of special surprises for Lauryn. But the proposal itself unfolded at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. When they first arrived, Lauryn knew that this had to be it because Travis handed her a letter that said “Hole One,” and to top it off, both of their dads were unexpectedly at the first tee.
Travis had another letter for her at each hole, and at the 18th hole, Travis grabbed the ring and proposed. Of course, Lauryn said yes! And a group of friends and family were waiting on the balcony of the clubhouse to celebrate!
Loveland Wedding with Mountains, Friends, Dancing, and Romance
Lauryn and Travis got married at Lauryn’s dad’s lakehouse in Loveland, Colorado. The private location was partly because they didn’t know what would be possible due to the pandemic, and partly because they just wanted an intimate wedding. One of their favorite things to do together is entertaining their friends and family, so a small wedding at a private venue made that entirely possible.
There were a few moments from the day that stood out to them. Lauryn treasured her first look with her dad. And Lauryn and Travis shared their vows before the ceremony in a “blind” first look. And of course, their real first look, when sliding barn doors revealed Lauryn as she walked down the aisle, was a moment neither of them will ever forget. Taking communion together during the ceremony was a special moment for the couple. And dancing the night away with their friends and family was at the top of the list too!
