There is no better way for true love to begin than at karaoke. And that’s how it was for Amanda and Chris. When they reached out to us and asked us to be their Denver wedding videographer, we were more than happy to be a part of it.

Love at First Sound

It’s true. Amanda and Chris first met singing karaoke at Pub on Pearl. It was $5 bottomless wings and karaoke night, and Amanda showed up in scrubs to meet a friend after a long nursing shift. Chris sang a Backstreet Boys song that night and Amanda shared a Taylor Swift tune. So naturally, they had to meet. After talking for a while, Chris asked for Amanda’s digits, and the rest is history.

Red Rocks Engagement

After dating for two years, Chris prepared to ask Amanda to be his partner in crime forever. Chris arranged a hike near Red Rocks with them and their two golden retrievers. While Amanda was turned away from them taking a picture, Chris placed a sign around each dog’s neck that read, “Will you marry me?”

Of course, Amanda said yes. And thankfully, they were able to snag a stranger to take a picture of them shortly after! Amanda described the relaxed proposal as perfect for them as a couple.

A Denver Wedding Videographer’s Dream

Amanda and Chris wed on November 17, 2018, at the Barn at Raccoon Creek in Jefferson County. The venue was beautiful—ideal for picturesque wedding videography and photography. Amanda and Chris treasured their first look. It was one of their favorite moments from their wedding.

But there were undoubtedly plenty of unique features of their wedding too. Since the couple has a self-declared “nerdy side” and loves Jurassic Park, they did their first dance to the Jurassic Park theme song! It certainly was a first for us—and we go to a lot of weddings!

Also, when it was time for the dance floor to open up, Amand and Chris surprised all their guests with personalized flat-bill hats (Chris’ signature look) and aviator sunglasses (Amanda’s staple accessory). Everyone was ready to party adorned with their new props! And it definitely made for some fun footage! To see the full film, click here.
