If you’ve ever spent any time in Vail, you know it is one of the most captivating locations in Colorado. Our wedding film team was thrilled to travel to this Rocky Mountain ski town to capture the wedding of Emily and Brian.
Will You Marry Me?
The day Brian proposed started normally with some donuts, one of their favorite traditions. Then they were off to the Art Institute of Chicago. Brian was worried Emily was onto him, but he managed to keep cool until they got to the Stock Exchange Room.
Emily was taking in the view of the ceiling and Brian asked her if she would ever want to get married there…no response from Emily. So he asked her one more time. Still looking up at the ceiling, Emily responded with, “umm…maybe.” Brian’s next move was to get down on one knee. He asked Emily if she thought she would ever get engaged there. There was shock and surprise all over Emily’s face. Her initial response was, “when did you do this?” She also followed up with a yes.
Wedding at 8,000 Feet
Emily and Brian chose the mountains of Vail, Colorado to exchange their vows. They picked a place off the grid and with a breathtaking lake view. Family and friends joined in the celebration of Emily and Brian’s love. Guests enjoyed staying in the nearby cabins and “glamping” tents. Brian and Emily loved their first look with each other. Other favorite moments of the night included the speeches at the reception and building a campfire in the evening during the reception.
Emily and Brian planned to take mini-honeymoons throughout the year as they traveled for different reasons to see family and friends. Shortly after being married, Brian won an award for some wine he worked on and the ceremony was held in London. Emily had a brilliant idea to make the trip to London part of their honeymoon with a stop in Iceland.
What Was It Like to Have Adam Create Your Wedding Film?
When asked what it was like working with Adam, Emily and Brian said, “We learned about Adam through Steve Stanton, our photographer. We initially didn’t want a videographer, so it was a late addition to our list of vendors. We absolutely loved working with Steve, so we figured he must know great, talented people like himself. Steve introduced us to Adam and the rest is history. Adam is wonderful. He was patient, kind, fun and just a great human being. He totally got us and our spirit, and I believe he absolutely captured that in the wedding film he captured and edited for us. We’re so thankful for how he captured our big day and grateful that we can share it with our friends and family.”
