Like anyone who planned to be married in 2020, Kylie and Colton’s Estes Park wedding was thrown for a loop or two. But despite all the uncertainty, their wedding day and film turned out wonderfully. And all things considered, they were able to celebrate with their loved ones without too many restrictions or hiccups. Check out their love story below!

Cheers to the *Other* Bride and Groom
Kylie and Colton were a match made in heaven, and you can’t really deny it when you learn about all the coincidences surrounding their meeting. On June 15, 2017, Kylie was in Austin, Texas, celebrating her friend Kaley’s bachelorette party. Colton also just happened to be in Austin for a buddy’s bachelor party. The two just happened to sit next to each other at a bar and got to talking. It turned out Kylie lived in Fort Collins, CO and Colton lived in Cheyenne, WY—only about 40 minutes away from each other.
The two hit it off, and then entirely by coincidence ended up running into each other the next day when both groups had independently planned to float the river. After returning home, they talked for a few months and then officially started dating.
Aspen, CO Proposal
After dating for a few years, Kylie and Colton planned a weekend getaway to the Rocky Mountains. Colton took Kylie to his favorite mountain range—the Maroon Bells—and in the 10-degree weather, shared a moving speech, got down on one knee, and proposed.
Of course, Kylie said yes, and little did she know Colton’s friend had been hiding off in the distance, taking photos of the whole thing!
Estes Park Wedding Film—COVID or No COVID
While we know many couples that required a lot of shuffling to pull off their wedding, Kylie and Colton were thankful to persevere through the uncertainties of COVID and have a normal wedding without too many restrictions.
They included their families in unique ways, with Colton’s dad as the officiant, their mothers sharing speeches at the reception, and Kylie’s dad saying the prayer before the meal. And Kylie’s brother hosted the shoe game at the reception, which was definitely a crowd favorite.
Another special moment at their wedding was the rain delay. Instead of being upset by the change, Kylie, Colton, and the bridal party took the delay as a few moments to relax after the hustle and bustle of the pictures before the wedding. Kylie said the rain ended up being a blessing in disguise.
And another favorite moment of the night was dancing the night away with all their loved ones. Many of the guests stayed at the Fall River Resort where the wedding took place and made a whole weekend of it. So Kylie and Colton both loved that they got to spend lots of quality time throughout the entire weekend with their family and friends.
Kind Words
When we asked Kylie and Colton what it was like working with Adam and Aflātis, Kylie shared, “Colton and I watched our wedding video, and both cried… Thanks, Adam and the Aflātis team for all the hard work to make this tangible keepsake for us.”
And, just a fun fact, Kylie learned about Adam because he filmed her friend Kaley’s wedding—the same Kaley from the bachelorette party when Kylie and Colton met!
Thank you so much, Kylie + Colton, for including me on your incredible day. Cheers to many years of love and joy!
