Garden of the Gods Wedding Film | Hilary + Thomas

We always love the chance to film a wedding at the stunning Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. So, when Hilary and Thomas asked us to create their Garden of the Gods wedding film, of course, we were on board.

On Hilary and Tommy’s wedding day, we interviewed some of Hilary’s friends while everyone was getting ready. They explained Hilary and Tommy had been together for so long, and their love was always perfect, that their friends all called them “mom and dad.” And it’s easy to see when spending time with them the love they have is special.

Hilary and Tommy met at the start of their freshman year of college at Tufts University in 2009. They dated throughout college. And a few years after, Tommy decided it was time to pop the question.

The couple loves to travel. So planning a trip to celebrate the New Year wasn’t any tip-off to Hilary that Tommy had a proposal in the works. They met up in Scottsdale, Arizona after spending Christmas at home with their respective families.

One of their first plans in Scottsdale was to go on a hike. Tommy had the ring in his sock and was dying to propose. At one point along the hike, Hilary sat down for a rest. Tommy saw his moment and got down on one knee, asking Hilary to be his wife. Hilary was surprised and thrilled—and of course, said yes!

Breathtaking Garden of the Gods Wedding

Surrounded by stunning, red rock formations, Hilary and Tommy said “I do” on September 15, 2018. They wanted their wedding to be traditional, but with plenty of personal touches. For example, for a unity ceremony, they did a Scottish Quaich ceremony. This unique Scottish ceremony involves drinking together from a two-handled cup. And instead of having a wedding party table, they had their families sit with them.

Several moments from the day will stick out in their minds forever. A big one for Tommy was seeing Hilary walk down the aisle to him. And they treasure walking across the Garden of the Gods lawn together after their photos and celebrating just the two of them after their send-off.

When we asked Hilary and Thomas to share any thoughts about working with Adam and Aflātis, they said, “We would definitely recommend Adam to other couples. He and his second shooter John were both extremely professional and nice day of, and we absolutely love the final product!”
