Over the summer, Avanti + Kenny were married in a spectacular multicultural ceremony in Colorado. We had the honor of documenting the joyous occasion and creating their Indian fusion wedding film.
Workplace Romance
Avanti + Kenny met at work in 2016. He invited her to join him for a run after work, and they became workout buddies as well as work buddies. Consequently, their friendship turned into something more, and they fell in love.
Kenny and Avanti took their love to a higher elevation four years later. Avanti and Kenny decided to go on an 8-mile hike in Breckenridge, Co. When they arrived at the isolated summit, they were greeted by a breathtaking view. Kenny got down on one knee and proposed. It was peaceful and private, perfect for Kenny and Avanti. Kenny proposed with his grandmother’s diamond. The priceless family heirloom has been passed down through five generations over the last century.
An Indian Fusion Wedding Film
Avanti and Kenny’s colorful wedding was the perfect juxtaposition of cultures. The ceremony took place in Denver, CO, but you would hardly know it. The couple enjoyed performing Bollywood dances alongside their family and friends. The Indian fusion ceremony was beautiful and honored both of their cultures. They were thrilled to see that many of their non-Indian guests chose to partake in the tradition and wear Indian attire.
The ceremony included elements from both Kenny and Avanti’s cultures. Unique aspects of their wedding include traditional Indian dancing, a henna party, and colorful decor. Avanti wore multiple stunning outfits throughout the ceremony. She wore traditional Indian wedding garb to to pay tribute to her her heritage. Additionally, she wore a beautiful white dress to honor her American upbringing. To please every guest, they catered with multicultural food.
What’s Next
The newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii. They hiked volcanoes, biked through the lush Hawaiian forest, then took surfing lessons. The scenery was (almost) as beautiful as the Colorado mountains they now call home.
As they start their new adventure together, Kenny and Avanti look forward to living together for the first time in Colorado. They can’t wait to take advantage of the mountains. For instance, they love snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Their lives will be full as they pursue their love of the outdoors in Colorado.
