There is nothing like the game of football to bring people together – and like it’s done for so many people, football brought Jamie and Andrew together.
Andrew was at Beacon Hill Tavern in Boston catching the football game and Jamie happened to be there as well, with her friend, celebrating her friend’s last weekend in Boston. Jamie and her friend ended up sitting by Andrew and Jamie’s friend saw the perfect opportunity for Jamie. Her friend broke the ice with asking about the rules of football and by the end of the night names and numbers were exchanged and a first date was on the calendar.
Jamie and Andrew traveled from Boston to Colorado for a friend’s wedding and fell in love with the town of Aspen. Eight months later they made Colorado their home and Aspen a favorite travel spot. Fast-forward a year and Andrew planned a Thanksgiving trip to Aspen. They spent their time hiking and exploring the town. On their last night, Andrew took Jamie to the St. Regis where the fireplace set the mood for a romantic evening and champagne and s’mores only added to the night. With the fire lit, champagne in hand, and s’mores on a stick, Andrew knelt down and asked Jamie to spend the rest of her life with him…she said yes!
Camp Hale and its famous mountains became the backdrop for Jamie and Andrew’s big day as they were surrounded by family and friends. They shared their first look on Shrine Pass, had a close friend officiate the ceremony – where he surprised them with a special song, included all ten of their nieces and nephews in the ceremony, had a fire pit and s’mores, and were sent off with John Denver’s “Rocky Mountain High.” All of their guests stayed at Manor Vail, which gave Jamie and Andrew a chance to spend extra time with all of their loved ones.
The mountain wedding was followed with a honeymoon to the North Shore of O’ahu. The Hawaiian island was the perfect place to relax from the wedding festivities. When Jamie and Andrew weren’t enjoying a cocktail on the beach, they were snorkeling, kayaking around sea turtles, climbing to and swinging beneath waterfalls, and sampling the endless amount of food trucks along the shores.
Shannyn: How was working with Adam?
Jamie: I spent a long time looking at videos online and Adam’s stood out. His creativity and passion for his work clearly came out in the beautiful and emotional stories he told through video. Working with him was great. He and his team had well thought out plans and yet introduced creativity when inspiration struck them. They also made two shy people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Without hesitation we would highly recommend him to other couples.
