Steamboat Springs Wedding Film | Jenna + Hugh

When you get to create wedding film for a living, you get to see many incredible places and meet the most amazing people. Jenna and Hugh were no exception and we were privileged to capture wedding film on their special day.

A Love Story From NYC

Jenna and Hugh met while working together at an ad agency in New York City. They started chatting through the agency’s IM system. With a little nudge from a mutual friend, Jenna and Hugh went out on their first date.

It was five years later in September that Jenna and Hugh planned to have a quiet night out with friends. But, their friends had to “cancel” the plans. Hugh suggested they still go out for a nice dinner at Piadina—the place they had their first date. After dinner, Hugh proposed outside of their restaurant. Their friends who “canceled” dinner popped out of the bushes and celebrated with them. When Jenna and Hugh returned to their apartment, they had their family and friends waiting and the celebrations continued.

Steamboat Destination Wedding

Jenna and Hugh said their “I dos” in the mountains of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Jenna traveled to Steamboat every summer and winter as a child and it was the place where she learned to ski. It became a place she loved. Hugh fell in love with Steamboat too once he started dating Jenna.

Hugh’s uncle officiated the wedding, which added a unique and personal touch to the ceremony. Their ceremony included a parable from the Australian children’s book, Magic Pudding. One of their favorite moments from the day was their first dance.

Their wedding included personal touches like skiing elements on their tables and guest book. One of Jenna’s bridesmaids painted a custom corn-hole game with “Cullman” in the Budweiser logo – a nice homage to Jenna and Hugh, who both work at Anheuser-Busch.

Honeymoon in Asia

The happy couple spent their honeymoon exploring the streets of Tokyo and Vietnam. They ate ramen and sushi in Tokyo. Jenna and Hugh also went on an ambitious 70km bike ride in Vietnam, starting in the mountains, through rice paddies, and ending at the beach.

What Was it Like Having Adam Create Your Wedding Film?

When asked how it was to work with Adam, Jenna said, “Adam was AMAZING. I found him through a lucky Google search and we are so happy with the choice. Adam was extremely professional, easy-going, easy to work with and FUN to be around. His work is amazing  – he has such a talent for capturing raw emotions, the beauty of the setting and the FUN party vibe. We couldn’t be more pleased and will cherish our wedding film forever.”
