I was able to get to know Kim and Ian and they seem like a fun couple that you want to be around all the time. Here is a snapshot of their story and how they became Mr. and Mrs.
Love at first sight? Kim and Ian met each other five years ago, when they were in college through mutual friends. Kim caught Ian’s eye but it would be eight months later before they would start dating and become inseparable. Ian loves Kim’s crazinesses in the way she cares for people and loves them. Ian said she wants everyone to be taken care of and “will help a needy plant, animal, or human.” It was hard for Kim to pick just one thing that she loves about Ian, but she loves how he will go above and beyond to help and care for people.
The day started off with a hike in Keystone with Kim, Ian, and his parents when Ian suddenly disappeared. Not too concerned to chase after him, Kim and Ian’s parents headed back down the trail. Kim quickly found herself alone with Ian who was surrounded by Kim’s favorite flowers. It is in that moment when Ian got down on one knee and proposed to Kim.
Kim and Ian’s special day took place at Lionscrest where they were surround by friends and family. The views, privacy, and staff are what sold them on the location. It felt like home away from home; it was intimate, private, and cozy but still had an elegance that they wanted for their day. Their wedding day started off with clouds and wind but broke away right before the ceremony and made it perfect. From the ceremony the party started and the fun and laughter began!
At the reception, Kim and Ian had a surprise for their guests that still has them talking about it today. They showed off their dance moves with a choreographed dance and it was a hit. Their first dance started off traditional but the music quickly changed and Kim and Ian were bustin’ a move on the dance floor that got guests out of their seats and joining in on the fun. Kim surprised Ian with a Minnesota Viking (their favorite football team) in their cake, which went perfect with their wedding colors of eggplant, gray and a light green. Their day was topped of with signature drinks, a photo booth, and a kissing game that included their friends and family.
As tradition would have, Kim and Ian would kiss when guests clinked their glasses but like their first dance they added a twist. When the clinking would sound the DJ would draw out a couple’s name, who were guest, and they would have to kiss. Once they were done giving each other a kiss, Kim and Ian would reenact the kiss they just saw.
It is easy to say that Kim and Ian had a great day as they celebrated their love for each other with the people that mean the most to them by their side. Kim and Ian kept their guests anxiously awaiting the next surprise throughout their wedding day.
Shannyn: How was working with Adam?
Kim/Ian: Adam is amazing! He is kind and generous. He makes any bride and groom feel comfortable being filmed! He has gone above and beyond for us. Without hesitation, we would recommend Adam to other couples.
