Littleton Wedding Film | Alyssa + Luke

As wedding videographers, we get to meet many incredible couples. But Alyssa and Luke’s fun-loving, warm personalities made their Littleton wedding film one of our favorites to shoot in 2018. It was an honor to have one of our final weddings from last year be this awesome couple and their beautiful wedding day. But before we get to the big day, let’s visit how Alyssa and Luke met and fell in love.

Beauty from Ashes

Luke is from the East Coast, and Alyssa is from Denver, but the couple met while they were both living and working in Las Vegas. One night, Alyssa was out with her friends, and Luke was out with his. While at the bar, Commonwealth, some of their friends hit it off. When those friends decided to go out again the next day, they invited Alyssa and Luke to join. The drinks from the night before made it a little foggy whether or not they were into each other. But, they joined their friends anyways, and there was definitely a connection!

After dating for a few years, Luke prepared to propose. But then, the unthinkable happened. Alyssa and Luke attended the country music festival at Route 91 in 2017 when a shooter open fired on the crowd.

Before this horrific event, Luke had planned to propose to Alyssa the following weekend on a trip to New York. With the trauma they experienced, Luke wasn’t sure he would go through with it. But Alyssa was so glad that he did!

The first day of their trip they spent the morning on an Ellis Island tour. Alyssa wanted to go back to their hotel and take a nap. But, Luke insisted they go to Central Park. She had no idea Luke had already planned for a photographer to take pictures of the proposal secretly. While walking through the park, Luke gave Alyssa a gift. It was a Broncos teddy bear with a dog tag on it that said, “will you marry me?” When she looked up from the gift, Luke was down on one knee. And of course, Alyssa said yes!

A Littleton Wedding Film to Remember

In our wedding films, we always try to capture not just the main events of the big day but to encapsulate a couple’s love story completely. With Alyssa and Luke, this was so easy to do! So many fun and unique features of their wedding allowed their personalities to shine. And, it goes without saying the guests had a blast.

Both Alyssa and Luke shared so many of their favorite moments of the wedding day with us. But a few they both mentioned were the epic dance-off (Alyssa and her bridesmaids lost!) and when their dog Jayda escaped her collar and leash and ran around the ceremony!

Naturally, there were plenty of heartfelt moments too, like Alyssa walking down the aisle with her dad and stepdad, the first dance, and many of the speeches throughout from loved ones.

After the wedding, Alyssa and Luke adventured and took it easy on their Bora Bora honeymoon. They set goals for their future and talked about starting a family one day. It was the perfect way to celebrate the union they just created. It was an honor to be a part of your wedding day, you two!

What Was It Like Having Adam Create Your Wedding Film?

When we asked Alyssa and Luke what it was like to have Aflātis as their videographer, they had so many kind words to share! Alyssa said, “Working with Adam was nothing short of amazing. He isn’t just a videographer, but he’s a friend and genuinely cares about his couples and telling their story, not just another generic wedding video.

Adam gave us the idea of getting a go-pro to take on all our trips, as we LOVE to travel. It was neat to see some of this footage in our film. Overall, Adam is incredible, genuine in his intentions, a creative mastermind, and just a great person that we would now consider a close friend.”
