Michigan Wedding Film — Megan+Mark

Megan + Mark’s Michigan wedding film is a truly unique Aflatis film. It was shot with 8MM film, so I tied that into the editing and I think the result is very special. So, without further ado, let’s meet Megan and Mark!

How They Met + Arizona Proposal

For Megan and Mark, it wasn’t quite love at first sight. But that certainly didn’t mean their love didn’t blossom over the following years. The two met at a friend’s going away party, but they didn’t actually begin dating until three years later. Once they began seeing each other, they dated for two years, and then Mark decided to pop the question.

The two were on a trip together out west, and they began their adventure camping in Sedona, Arizona. One morning, the got up early to do a sunrise hike up to Cathedral Rock. Mark climbed up on a rock formation at the top and asked Megan to join him. Up in nature’s cathedral, Mark asked Megan to be his forever.

Michigan Wedding Film Full of Touching Moments

Megan and Mark ensured each detail of their wedding special. Including dear friends and family in the entire day was very important to them. Down to the tiniest detail, like a piece of Megan’s grandfather’s flannel sewn into her dress, they found a way to make loved ones present. Other examples of including loved ones were having one of Megan’s high school friends sing during the ceremony, her godmother reading a poem, and wearing a veil made by Mark’s mother and previously worn by his sister.

Since Mark bartended for a few years, he created two signature cocktails served at the wedding. And one of Megan and Mark’s very favorite parts were their wedding vows. Megan shared they were able to find moments to steal away throughout the day and soak everything in.

Onto a Future Together

When we asked Megan what she’s most excited to experience in marriage, she said simply “having a partner to walk through life with.” After the wedding day, Megan and Mark celebrated their marriage in Cabo San Lucas, horseback riding on the beach, snorkeling, and hanging out by the pool.
