Jamie and Clayton describe their love story as a modern one—they met on the dating app Bumble—but their love is one that will stand the test of time. So we were honored they asked us to create their Pines at Genesee wedding film earlier this year.
Romantic Rocky Mountain Proposal
After meeting, Jamie and Clayton dated for a little over a year before Clayton decided to ask Jamie to be his forever. And their proposal story is as sweet as can be. The couple was in Vail celebrating Clayton’s birthday. He opened his presents and then pulled out one last box for Jamie. The gift was a ring, and Clayton proposed by saying that Jamie agreeing to be his wife would be the best present he could ever get.
Creating an Epic Pines at Genesee Wedding Film
When it came to Jamie and Clayton’s big day, there were so many incredible moments that it was simple to make a wedding film that reflected the greatness of the day. The couple shared with us one of their favorite moments was their first look at Lookout Mountain. Jamie joked that it was totally worth the short hike in heels!
Another memorable moment was the first dance. Jamie and Clayton had taken dance lessons so they could pull off a polished and beautiful first dance. But little did the guests know, the band went right into “Push It” by Salt N Peppa. Jamie and Clayton carried right on, breaking it down to the throwback tune.
Of course, since Clayton is from Texas and Jamie is from Montana, having so many friends and family make the trip to Colorado for the wedding was a huge blessing. Friends and family showed up from as far as Chile, and over 200 guests attended! That support alone was perhaps the most extraordinary thing about their wedding day.
After celebrating all night with friends and family—including a hot pink limo that took them to the after-party—they honeymooned in Costa Rica and are now happily living the married life! We are so happy for you, Jamie and Clayton! Thank you for letting us tell your wedding story.
What Was It Like Working with Aflātis?
When we asked Jamie and Clayton what it was like to work with Adam and Aflātis, they responded, “we barely knew he was there during the festivities, but he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. He was seasoned and knew the ropes! My mom loved him too —he reassured her that her athleisure was less than obnoxious than some other moms during the dress putting on.”
Thanks for the kind words, you guys! We’ll reassure our couple’s family members about their athleisure choices anytime!
