Sierra and Michael, who were both single parents, turned to online dating. With a mutual interest in each other, Sierra and Michael decided that they needed a night away from the kids and would grab a drink together. For Sierra it was love at first sight – she saw him from afar and wished that she had worn something cuter because Michael “was gorgeous!” Sierra and Michael dated for 10 months, when Sierra says “he FINALLY asked.”

Sierra and Michael are avid skiers and they were off to Beaver Creek for a weekend away. Saturday was spent on the slopes and dinner was at the Chop House followed by drinks at the Ritz. The next morning, Sierra was wanting to spend the day in bed but Michael was able to convince her to hit the slopes one more time. At the top of the mountain, Sierra and Michael stopped to take a picture and that’s when Michael got down on one knee and asked the question that Sierra had been waiting for.

On September 21st, it was the coming together of two families and it was the coming together of Sierra and Michael. The wedding was rustic and classic, the best of Michael and Sierra. It was old Hollywood meets rustic charm and it was perfect for Sierra and Michael’s big day. Sierra’s favorite moment was when Michael saw her for the first time and he told her that she looked like a Greek goddess. For Michael, his favorite moment was one that he had been preparing for and practicing for…the first dance. The day was marked with special moments and one moment in particular that left everyone laughing. Their daughter, Kayla, and Sierra’s niece, Braylee, were the flower girls who carried big, giant balloons instead. The girls were supposed to walk down the aisle, and then hand the balloons off- but Kayla went to her daddy’s side and then accidentally let go of the balloon. Michael also accidentally let go and said a choice word – not realizing that the microphone was on and everyone heard it and thankfully were able to laugh it off.

Sierra and Michael were supposed to go to Cabo San Lucas but a hurricane took out the resort and left the happy couple looking for plan B. And plan B just happened to be paradise or as others call it, Maui.

Shannyn: How was working with Adam?

Sierra: Michael and I watched probably 300 different wedding videos and Adam’s were the best – no question. Much like Michael – I knew Adam was the “one”. Adam is awesome, besides a great sense of humor, Adam was easy going and professional. We were so glad to have met him and his family before he shot our wedding. I would and do highly recommend him!

To ensure the excellence of our films, we take on a limited number of weddings per season.
