Steamboat Wedding Film | Maggie + Ed

Steamboat wedding film

Maggie and Ed celebrated their union with their daughter, friends, and family.

When it comes to finding your soul mate, some people say, “When you know, you know.” And this was indeed the case for Maggie and Ed, who got engaged only two months after meeting. We could tell these two were an incredible match with an equally incredible story. So naturally, we couldn’t wait to capture their Steamboat wedding film and be a part of their big day.

Swipe Right=Happily Ever After

Maggie and Ed joke that Ed was Maggie’s first and last Tinder date. It’s true, the couple met on Tinder but instantly fell for each other. Within just a few months they were looking at houses to move in together.

They closed on their new home and prepared to move in. As they were getting ready to unload, Maggie realized she had forgotten and ran back to her old house. Ed did some quick work placing flowers and lawn chairs in their new backyard.

When Maggie returned, she eagerly wanted to begin unpacking. But, Ed insisted they sit down and enjoy their new yard for just a moment. As they sat and talked, Ed mentioned there was one last thing they needed to do. He took out—as Maggie describes it—the most gorgeous ring ever, and asked Maggie to be his bride. Of course, she said yes, and the wedding planning began.

Steamboat Dream Wedding

Wedding day superstitions say if it rains on your wedding day, that’s good luck. Well, Maggie and Ed saw it a doubly good omen that it snowed on their wedding weekend for their Steamboat Springs wedding. Maggie’s parents have a house in Storm Mountain Ranch in Steamboat, so the couple had their dream mountain wedding in what felt like their own backyard—with snow to boot.

There were so many special moments during that day for this dear family. One was when Maggie and Ed exchanged private gifts and notes before the ceremony. Also, Ed brought Maggie to tears with a surprise speech about their relationship and their future.

And who could forget the adorable impromptu father-daughter dance with Ed and their 3-month-old daughter Kara? Plus, dancing on stage with their wedding band was icing on the cake to this incredible day.

We are so happy for your future together, Maggie, Ed, and Kara, and thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding story!

What Was It Like Having Adam/Aflātis Create Your Steamboat Wedding Film?

When asked what it was like working with Adam, Ed and Maggie shared, “Our wedding planner heard that we really wanted drone shots and she immediately thought of Adam. We took some time to look at his work and within a day we knew he was going to be our videographer. Working with him and his crew was absolutely great. They were lively, fun, and really made everything feel comfortable. We would recommend him to everyone and anyone!”
