Tennessee Wedding Film | Bre + Josh

When Bre and Josh contacted us about shooting their Tennessee wedding film, we couldn’t have been more excited. This couple is a match made in heaven, and we were eager to capture their journey and wedding day. But before we get to the big day, we have to talk about how Bre and Josh met.

Kappa Delta + UT Football Player = Love at First Sight

When Bre and Josh were in high school, they knew of each other through some family friends. After they both ended up at the University of Tennessee, they began messaging each other a little more frequently over social media. Bre wasn’t too sure about Josh though—she had him pegged as the kind of guy she would NOT end up dating, much less marrying. He played football for the UT football team, and Bre stereotyped him as a typical football player.

In one interaction, Josh told Bre he was going to score a touchdown for her in the game against Oklahoma. Bre was still rolling her eyes, but her sorority sisters thought there might be something to it. So Bre put Josh to the test by telling him to make a heart with his hands in the end zone if he did score a touchdown. Well, Josh DID score a touchdown, and he DID flash the heart! Not to mention, he broke his ankle shortly after, but only texted Bre asking if she had seen his heart on national television!

And when Josh and Bre met in person later that week, it was nothing short of true love at first sight. They were inseparable for the next three years.

Proposal at the Bean

When Josh finished college, he headed to Chicago to train for NFL Pro Day. By this point, Josh and Bre frequently talked about marriage and knew they were going to be together forever. But when it came to the actual proposal, Bre had no idea it was coming!

Josh invited Bre to Chicago to help him get settled in. In the Windy City, they had a date night with many stops along the way—not out of the ordinary for them. Little did Bre know, there were so many stops because Josh’s plans kept getting derailed by outside circumstances.

But when they ended up at the Bean after a night of dinner, ice skating, and hot chocolate, Josh got down on one knee and popped the question. Bre’s family came out of hiding to celebrate with them (Josh had been texting them all night trying to help them keep up with the ever-changing plan!)

Picture Perfect Tennessee Wedding

When it came to the wedding day, things couldn’t have turned out more perfectly. Bre was stunning and Josh couldn’t wait to say “I do” to his beautiful bride. One unique feature of their wedding was the handbuilt cross Bre’s father made for them which stood at the altar during the ceremony. Josh and Bre’s faith is a fundamental part of their lives, and relationship and the custom cross declared this to them and their guests.

And in a perfectly romantic moment during the reception, Bre and Josh slipped away to dance alone under the stars. It was a moment sealed in their hearts forever. Best wishes to this wonderful couple as they embark on their new journey together!

What Was It Like Having Adam Create Your Tennessee Wedding Film?

When asked what it was like to work with Adam and Aflatis, Bre said, “We absolutely LOVED working with Adam. After we connected via social media, we got to chat on the phone. I told Adam that I didn’t want this to be like any other wedding video. Photography and videography were very important to me.

I wanted to share our story and have our personalities shine through our video. I didn’t want to limit Josh and my relationship with a video of just our ceremony and reception. There’s been a lot of memories and adventures that have gotten us to where we are. And I wanted to show that through our video.

I wanted something that was artistic, original, and “film” like. Adam told me that is exactly his style and I knew then and there that he was the one that had to shoot our wedding!”
