Traveling the U.S. is one of the many amazing parts of our jobs here at Aflatis. Being with Morgan and Greg on their wedding day and capturing their Washington D.C. wedding film was absolutely a treat.
It All Began When…
It was fate that brought Morgan and Greg together and love at first sight that gave them their happily ever after. They grew up in the same town, went to rival high schools, knew of each other but never met. Then fate brought them to the streets of New York where they shared mutual friends. While going out for drinks with friends, Morgan and Greg were officially introduced to one another and their story officially began.
During their four years of dating, Morgan and Greg made the move to Washington D.C. and started making their new city home. Morgan and Greg decided to make the five-hour haul to Morgan’s favorite place, Ocean City, New Jersey for a weekend getaway. They were on their way to one of their favorite restaurants in the next town over. Greg suggested they stop off at the pier to take some pictures that his mom wanted.
Greg asked some strangers to take their picture. The uncharacteristic move made Morgan immediately think a proposal was coming. She started to freak out while trying to compose herself for the moment! There was one more picture Greg asked the strangers to take, and that’s when he said very romantic words to Morgan. Neither can recall the words now, but then he asked her to marry him. She responded with a shocked, “Are you sure?”
Morgan then saw both set of parents running down the street to share the exciting moment with them. After dinner, everyone went to Morgan’s parents’ house. Greg had arranged for her best friends to be there as well and they celebrated all night long.
The Hay-Adams Hotel Wedding
Morgan and Greg said their “I do’s” on a sunny fall day in front of family and friends at the Hay Adams Hotel. They incorporated different elements from their families like having the same cookies Greg’s parents had at their wedding. The couple paid homage Morgan’s late grandfather by having her new initials embroidered into his handkerchief. Greg and Morgan also danced to Frank Sinatra (Morgan’s late grandfather’s favorite artist). To top it off, Morgan’s great uncle Don officiated the wedding ceremony.
Both Morgan and Greg loved seeing each other for the first time as Morgan walked down the aisle and sharing their vows in front of their loved ones. They also enjoyed seeing all of their guests having a great time.
After the wedding, Morgan and Greg took off for Hawaii where they relaxed on the Big Island and then explored the island of Kauai. Between the two islands, they did a sailboat and snorkeling tour, hiked the Napali Coast, swam under waterfalls, took a helicopter ride, and enjoyed the delicious local food.
How Did You Choose Adam to Create Your Washington D.C. Wedding Film?
When asked what it was like to work with Adam, Morgan said, “Adam came HIGHLY recommended by my cousin, Coryn Nelson. I have already recommended Adam to everyone I know and I know I will get TONS of questions once our video is ready.”
