Winter Park Wedding Video | Laura + Jeff

Each love story we film at Aflātis is unique and beautiful in its own right. But Laura and Jeff’s story was like something straight out of the movies. We were honored to be there on their wedding day and to capture their Winter Park wedding video.

When Jeff Met Laura

Laura moved to the United States from Germany to be an au pair. Six months into her program her life was forever changed. One evening, Laura was out in downtown Denver with some friends when she saw Jeff and his friends getting ready to get in a cab.

Laura gathered the courage to tap Jeff on the shoulder she invited him and his friends for a drink. The two hit it off, and when Laura’s au pair program finished, she knew her time in the United States was not quite over. So, she extended her program for another year. Since then, Laura and Jeff have been inseparable.

In 2015, Laura and Jeff bought a house together and started the tradition of decorating for Christmas after Thanksgiving. Throughout the day, Jeff spoiled Laura and it got her wondering if Jeff was up to something. As they were about to leave their house to meet friends, in the intimate setting of their home, Jeff asked Laura to be his wife. She immediately said yes!

They enjoyed the evening at their favorite steak restaurant and went to see The Lion King live musical. The celebrations continued with Jeff’s family. Jeff’s nieces and nephews greeted Laura as “Aunty Laura,” and she knew she was officially part of the family.

Stunning Winter Park Wedding

Laura and Jeff exchanged their vows in the heart of Colorado—at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in the Rocky Mountains. It provided the perfect scenery for Laura’s family from Germany to see the place she now called home.

Laura loved getting ready with her bridesmaids and having her mother and grandmother by her side. One of the most moving views was looking out of the suite where the bride got ready. They could see their Colorado and German family and friends mingling and become one. As Laura’s dad walked her down the aisle, she remembers looking at Jeff and thinking that she could not wait until he was her husband. Above all, it was the perfect weekend where all of their hard work paid off and all of their wedding visions come to life.

Hawaiian Honeymoon

Three days after the wedding, Laura and Jeff jetted off for Maui and Lanai. The relaxation of the beach and the adventures of Hawaii called their names. They enjoyed swimming with turtles, snorkeling, and seeing the waterfalls of Hana. One of their favorite memories was that the hotel upgraded them the largest suite the Four Seasons offered. As a result, Jeff and Laura got to eat dinner on the balcony and watch the sunset in newlywedded bliss.
