Summer in Colorado is a sight to behold. It’s no wonder Emily + Brad chose the season to say “I do” in the picturesque Colorado mountains. We had the pleasure of joining in the celebrations and creating their Buena Vista wedding film.
Love Thy Neighbor
Although she was living in San Francisco at the time, Emily decided to move to Colorado for a summer. As luck would have it, Brad lived across the hall from her new apartment. Soon after she moved in, Brad knocked on her door to make sure she had everything she needed as she got settled in. Little did she know, Brad knew the owner and had seen a picture of Emily before she moved in. Well played, Brad.
It wasn’t long before Emily + Brad fell head over heels in love. They dated for four years before getting engaged. Brad proposed to Emily at the site of their first kiss right before Christmas. Always a gentleman, he even asked her parents first. COVID delayed their wedding plans for two and a half years, but Emily and Brad didn’t wait to start their lives together. They welcomed a beautiful son Rhys in the meantime.
A Buena Vista Wedding Film
Brad + Emily were married at the charming Surf Hotel in Buena Vista, Colorado. Emily walked through aspens generously peppered throughout the chateau to meet Brad at the end of the aisle. Emily stunned in a gorgeous Romi gown, but the couple’s one-year-old son Rhys stole the show in his adorable fancy outfit.
To cap off a meaningful ceremony, friends and family gave unforgettable speeches. Brad’s sister and brother-in-law gave a touching speech about “Rhys Backpack.” The band “threw down,” and guests celebrated an evening of perfect weather despite a dubious forecast. The couple made the most of the reception with a curated cocktail hour, choreographed celebrations, and great wine. After dinner, they kept the party going at the hotel bar and rented out the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs for an epic 4th of July pool party the next day.
What’s Next
Brad + Emily didn’t go on a honeymoon right away but have plans to vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They look forward to continuing to build their family, travel the world, and support each other.
