Stephanie + Evan fell in love in Colorado and were married in these magical mountains this past September. Lucky for us, they invited us to take part in their happy union and create their Castle Pines Wedding Video.
The Perfect Line
Evan and Stephanie both attended Southern Methodist University. They met in the fall of 2012 when they lived in the same apartment building, just a few doors down the hall from each other. When they met at a college apartment party, they felt an instant connection. They were inseparable for the next six years before getting hitched.
Most people might imagine themselves wearing a pretty dress and perfect shoes when their partner proposes. Evan + Stephanie have their own version of romantic perfection. Evan proposed while the pair were in the middle of fly fishing. When Evan suggested that Stephanie change her fly, she turned around to find him down on one knee. The ring was perfectly placed in the fly box. Luckily, the ring didn’t end up in the water! Their river guide was in on the proposal and was poised to capture the proposal on film.
A Castle Pines Wedding Video
Evan and Stephanie took their bridal party on a very successful fly fishing excursion on the day before the wedding! They had a few more fun events planned and were able to celebrate at some of their family homes. They were married at Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado, on a beautiful sunny day. Their dog Birdie even walked down the aisle to join them. Stephanie and Evan will never forget these special moments surrounded by their loved ones.
After the wedding, the fun began! Gorgeous blue and white china place settings and vases decorated the reception tent. The decoration was extra special because it was reminiscent of the chinoiserie in Stephanie’s kitchen growing up. The party continued late into the night, thanks mainly to their stellar wedding band. Guests couldn’t stop dancing and refused to leave the dance floor. Additionally, some even yelled out for an “encore” and “one more song!”
Looking Forward
The newly married couple went to the Seychelles Islands to experience world-class saltwater fly fishing for their honeymoon. They stayed on islands with no cars and no cell service. As a result, biking was their only form of transportation, and occasional wifi let them check in with their family. They had a wonderful time fly fishing and disconnecting from the outside world. Stephanie + Evan are looking forward to what new adventures life has in store.
When we asked the couple what it was like working with Aflatis, they shared,
“Megan, our planner, recommended Adam. His use of drone footage and overall filming and editing style were exactly what we were looking for. I watched countless other wedding films, but the second I saw Adam’s, it just made sense. We would 100 percent recommend Adam. We never felt like we were being “filmed,” which was really important to us. Nothing was scripted. We will forever cherish our wedding videos. Thank you, Adam and team!”
We wish Stephanie and Evan a lifetime of happiness as husband and wife!
