For many people during the height of COVID-19, finding a wedding venue was next to impossible. And for Sarah + Kevin, after four venues canceled on them, they decided to have their wedding at their own home! We were thankful to create their wedding film, a Denver backyard wedding film that showed how much Sarah and Kevin love each other, as well as their close friends and family.

Chance Meeting and Hawaiian Proposal

Sarah and Kevin first met when a mutual friend introduced them in Vail, CO. They started falling in love and dated for eight years. The fast pace of life kept them on their toes, but when Sarah’s parents took the family to Hawaii for their 45th wedding anniversary, Kevin saw it as his chance to propose to Sarah. He offered up a sweet toast, congratulating Sarah’s parents on 45 years of marriage and thanking them for the lovely trip. But then, Kevin surprised everyone by proposing to Sarah! Of course, she said “yes!” and the wedding planning was on.

Plan E—Denver Backyard Wedding Film

Trying to plan a wedding during COVID was difficult, and when the fourth venue canceled on Sarah and Kevin, they went with not plan B, not plan C, but plan E—having the wedding at their beautiful house! Sarah and Kevin have no regrets, sharing that having the wedding at their home made it one of the most special things about the big day! They also loved just getting to see their two families get to know each other so well.
