Erin + Brendan met in college and spent the last decade (and then some!) falling deeply in love. They were married in Littleton, Colorado, this past August. We had a great time making their Manor House wedding video.
Honored to Meet you
When Erin + Brendan’s mothers forced them to stay in the honors dorm at the University of Pittsburgh freshman year, they weren’t thrilled. They had no idea that it would be where they met their soul mates. Erin’s crush on Brenden went unrequited until the tables turned, and he was the one pursuing her. His persistence paid off, and the couple started dating in their sophomore year. They knew early on that they wanted to spend their lives together.
After spending more than eight years together, Erin wasn’t exactly surprised that a proposal was in the works. Regardless, Brendan knew he had to plan something special. Brendan and Erin traveled to Oregon for a friend’s wedding; they headed to a state park to grab a drink while they were there. Erin became suspicious when Brendan insisted that she dress up and leave her jacket in the car. They made their way to a clearing in the park. Unseasonably, the clearing was covered with daffodils. Erin looked around to see both of their parents watching as Brendan got down on one knee. They enjoyed a celebratory weekend at his family’s lakeside cabin.
Destination Wedding in Colorado | Manor House Wedding Video
Erin and Brendan have plans to move to Colorado, so having all their friends and family come to Colorado for the wedding was special. They were excited to show their loved ones the gorgeous state they planned to raise their family in. Erin’s favorite memories of the day included exchanging first looks with Brendan and her father and the exuberant first dance. Brendan will never forget “the speeches, my best friend officiating, and my beautiful bride looking so happy.”
Erin and Brendan surprised their guests with a showstopping first dance. Unbeknownst to their guests, the couple took dance lessons for months. Their efforts paid off; their guests were impressed. Another unique moment of their wedding was their unconventional “cake.” They decided to forgo the traditional cake and opt for one made of stacked wheels of cheese. They served dessert wine, fruit, and cheese as dessert. Yum!
Coupled up in Croatia
Erin and Brendan are no strangers to travel. As a result, they spent almost every day in a different location in Croatia to make sure they saw as much of the beautiful country as possible. Their favorite experience was renting a private boat for the day in Vis, where they explored caves and secluded coves. Additionally, they went cliff jumping and explored spots only accessible by boat. They had a lovely time drinking champagne on the gorgeous blue waters of the Adriatic Sea.
Although Erin and Brendan have been together for nearly 13 years, they look forward to using their official titles of ‘husband’ and ‘wife’. They’ve had many adventures together and have no doubt they can handle whatever else life throws at them.
When we asked the couple what it was like working with Aflatis, they shared,
“Booking Adam was hands down one of the best decisions I made for our wedding day. Looking at his footage, I knew our wedding videos would be stunning, but more importantly, he was such a delight to work with on the day. My husband and I are not big on taking photos of ourselves, so we were anxious about being the center of attention and “modeling” all day, but with Adam, it turns out there was no need to worry. We felt so comfortable, and the way he directed us made it feel very natural and genuine. We loved Adam so much that we tried to coax him to join our after-party! I would ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend him to other couples.”
We wish Erin + Brendan all the best!
