Grace and Eric didn’t fall in love in Colorado. That didn’t stop them from moving to this great state and celebrating the most special day of their lives in the iconic setting of Estes Park, Colorado. We are so pleased they did and had the pleasure of creating their fantastic Estes Park wedding video.
Beary Romantic
Grace and Eric met in college through mutual friends. They felt a connection right away. Unfortunately, Eric would soon graduate and move to Colorado. The timing wasn’t right, but Eric and Grace stayed in touch and became close friends. They had their first official date during Grace’s ski trip to Colorado two years later. Neither of them were keen to start a long-distance relationship, but the spark was undeniable. After three years of friendship from afar, Eric was Grace’s first call when she landed her dream job in Colorado. It turned out Eric lived only minutes away from her new job at the zoo.
As soon as Grace moved to Colorado, Eric asked her out to dinner. They ran into each other’s arms and never looked back. Eric arranged an adorable proposal at the Zoo where Grace worked. On Christmas, Grace organized a private interactive visit with the bears (her favorite animal). Eric feigned illness during the visit and subsequently surprised Grace with a sweet proposal. With help from her co-workers, Eric decorated the exhibit’s Christmas tree with an ornament bearing their names (no pun intended). Grace immediately accepted Eric’s proposal.
Estes Park Wedding Video
Grace and Eric were married at The Boulders at the Black Canyon Inn located within the scenic Estes Park. Grace stunned in a gorgeous flowing gown, and Eric held back tears as he watched his future bride walk down the aisle. Before the grand entrance, Grace + Eric snuck away for a private moment of reflection. Grace shared, “It was just us for about 30 seconds, and we were so giddy and smiley. We kept asking each other things like, ‘Oh my gosh, did we really do this? This is OUR wedding? This is too cool to be our wedding’.”
Grace and Eric love games, so they incorporated their shared love into their reception. Three of their favorite pinball machines provided guests with endless entertainment, a tribute to Grace + Eric’s many competitions. The reception was a riot. The DJ made sure to include more than a few Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance hits, a testament to Eric and Grace’s emo high school tendencies.
What’s Next?
Eric and Grace went to tropical Barbados for their honeymoon! They swam with sea turtles and toured an ancient rum distillery on the island. They are looking forward to transforming their new house into a cozy home where they can host friends and family.
When we asked the couple what it was like working with Aflātis, they shared,
“After watching a few of his videos, I knew he could tell our story! He was very easy to work with. I am usually a little camera shy… he helped us relax, knew all the right things to ask us to get us chatting with each other, and then we would forget he was even there! After seeing the film, it’s clear he does not miss a thing! I would recommend him to ANY couple. No matter what kind of wedding you have, ten people, 100 people, just the two of you and a witness… Have Adam capture it because it’s magical!”
