Morrison CO Wedding Video | Erin + Alex

At Aflātis, we have the pleasure of working with so many amazing couples. Each one has a unique story worth treasuring. For Erin + Alex, the thing that stood out about them was their level of joy! If you know them, or watch the wedding film, you’ll know exactly what we mean. They are always making each other laugh and never take themselves too seriously. Their personalities set the tone for a seriously fun Morrison CO wedding video. Here’s how it all happened.

How to Propose During COVID??

Erin and Alex met through mutual friends living in Indianapolis, IN. It was only after they met that they found out they both lived on the same floor of the same apartment! They dated for two years, and then Alex got ready to propose. But at the time, the world was beginning to shut down because of COVID. They decided to cancel a trip they’d planned to Banff in Canada. Instead, they stuck closer to their new home in Colorado and got a VRBO in Basalt, CO.

Erin thought they were just hunkering down for a snowy getaway, but Alex had bigger plans. They went on a hike around a beautiful reservoir and on a lonely peninsula, Alex popped the question!

Morrison CO Wedding Video Full of Smiles!

Like so many couples who got engaged or planned to get married during the height of the pandemic, Erin and Alex had to change their plans around quite a bit. About one month before the wedding, they decided to switch up venues and cut down their guest list to keep it to about 100 people.

And while all the changes were stressful, Erin shared that it made them savor certain elements of the wedding even more. There were so many unique things about their wedding that made it special. Erin’s grandfather was their officiant, and her cousin made the wedding cake. Coloradoans may remember that right before their wedding day (March 19, 2021), there was a massive blizzard in Colorado that dumped feet upon feet of snow—up to five feet at their Morrison wedding venue Woodlands. But on Erin and Alex’s wedding day, it was a beautiful 60 degrees! That made for a stunning backdrop during their outdoor ceremony, but no one was even cold!

And, it was essential to Erin and Alex that everyone got to cut loose and celebrate at their reception. So they started their reception by offering all their guests Irish Car Bombs. The father-daughter dance turned into a conga line, and the wedding party kept the festivities going all night with a party bus after the reception. A great time was had by all!

What’s Next?

Erin and Alex snuck away to Telluride, Colorado for their honeymoon and enjoyed skiing, massages, and plenty of great food and drinks! And as newlyweds, they’re just excited about getting to face whatever life throws their way as husband and wife. When we asked them about their experience working with Aflātis, Erin shared,

“Our wedding planner, Carly Wilde (Milkglass Productions) referred us to Aflātis, and we were very happy with the experience. Mike Morter was the videographer who shot the footage, and he couldn’t have been more fun to work with. He added to the whole day, and his whole vibe/demeanor just fit in so well with everyone and everything. He truly is a part of what made our day so incredible, and we cannot thank him enough!”

Thank you so much for the kind words, Erin + Alex, and we wish you the best!
