Old Town Fort Collins Wedding | Caitlin + Zach

Caitlin + Zach are fun-loving, goofy, and adventurous. Their wedding perfectly reflected these qualities. We were honored to be a part of their celebrations and create their Old Town Fort Collins wedding.

From Friendship to Love

Sometimes what you are looking for can be found right under your nose. Caitlin + Zach met in 2013 and developed a close friendship. They hung with the same circle of friends and bonded over a shared love of running and Harry Potter. Eventually, their friendship turned into something more.

Zach took the first step when he asked Caitlin to be his date for his brother’s wedding. Since then, the couple has traveled the world together and competed in many athletic competitions side by side.

In 2020, Caitlin and Zach celebrated their fourth anniversary at Rodizio Grill in Old Town Fort Collins. While they wined and dined, Caitlin’s best friend was secretly hard at work lighting hundreds of candles and decorating their home with rose petals. When they returned home, Zach got down on one knee, and Caitlin eagerly accepted his proposal.

Attendees, Assemble!

Caitlin + Zach fell in love in Old Town Fort Collins. Accordingly, they planned celebrations that reflected their life together in the city they love. The ceremony was held in Firehouse Alley in The Elizabeth. Zach and Caitlin made an unconventional entrance that suits their fun-loving personalities perfectly. The Avengers theme song played as the wedding party walked down the aisle.

After they said their vows, Caitlin and Zach walked back down the aisle to the theme music from Star Wars! Caitlin’s brother officiated the touching ceremony, and the couple’s adorable three-year-old niece and nephew were the perfect flower girl and ring bearer.

The venue’s stunning rooftop terrace was the obvious choice for the post-ceremony dinner. During the ceremony, guests had a chance to take a crack at trivia questions included in the program. The answers were then revealed at dinner. Off to a third location within the hotel, the reception turned into a danceathon at the Magic Rat. Caitlin + Zach will remember this epic day for the rest of their lives.

Sunsets, Spas, and Sanddunes

Always up for an adventure, the newlyweds traveled to Dubai and the Maldives for their honeymoon. In Dubai, they rode camels, went sand-boarding, drove dune buggies, and had a private dinner in the middle of the desert. They also visited the tallest building in the world and explored the city. In the Maldives, the couple stayed in an over-water bungalow. They swam in with turtles and sharks and treated themselves to a luxurious spa day. As they begin their new life together, they look forward to taking on new challenges together and starting new traditions.

When we asked the couple what it was like working with Aflātis, they shared,

“We heard about Adam/Aflātis through Kaitlin Shea, and he was great to work with! I believe we had Mike on the wedding day, and he was awesome! He made us feel very comfortable. Adam did our couples session and we had so much fun! I would definitely recommend Adam and Aflātis to other couples.”
